Tan joined Hellam Varon after being introduced to the firm’s collaborative, balanced culture. He saw it as a place where he could shape his career and focus on work he finds most rewarding, particularly individual and business tax returns. He values the connection—with clients, coworkers, and the process of finding practical, people-centered solutions – and brings that mindset to everything he does. 

Before joining the firm, Tan built a strong foundation in both public and government accounting, spending five years at a local firm and later working at the IRS. He’s always been drawn to numbers—especially applied math—and stays active in the profession as a member of the WSCPA, continually looking for ways to grow. 

Originally from Vietnam, Tan moved to the U.S. in 2006 and has called the Seattle area home ever since. He now lives in Renton with his wife and enjoys cooking (especially with his new pizza oven), hiking around the Pacific Northwest, and visiting national parks with friends. Tan’s dedication and positivity make him a valued part of our team.
