Mark studied accounting at Central Washington University and has worked for 18 years at two different accounting firms in the Puget Sound area. He specializes in audit work and financial reporting for tax-exempt entities, start-ups and established organizations in several industries including tech, construction, and manufacturing. Helping clients to demystify complicated accounting rules for their financial statements is what keeps him going. He wants his clients to feel they can rely on him to make their lives easier, because he can find the way through hard-to-understand rules and regulations. Mark has also volunteered as a quality assurance reviewer in collaboration with the Board of Accountancy working to uphold the high standards of the profession. 

When asked why he chose Hellam Varon, Mark answers promptly, “I appreciate working with people whose integrity and technical abilities are so high.”  

When not overseeing audits or working with clients, you can find him adding a new bike to his collection, participating in half marathons, or soaking up the sun with his family in Cabo San Lucas.
