Kristi has called Hellam Varon her professional home since 1997, beginning her career in audit and accounting. Originally thinking it would be a stepping stone first job after college, Kristi simply never left! Now, over 25 years later, Kristi is part of both our audit and accounting team and our Business Support Services group. Her primary focus includes 401k audits, compiled and reviewed financial statements, and bookkeeping preparation for tax work.  

Kristi enjoys easing clients’ minds whether about the audit process, working through updated accounting standards, or helping them understand there is always a way to manage their challenges. When it comes to her work at the firm, she appreciates the teamwork philosophy and the family-like atmosphere. She feels her colleagues care about doing an excellent job and about each other, as well. 

While she originally hailed from a town of 30 people in North Dakota, Kristi’s journey took her to Seattle and then to Indiana. She was one of the firm’s first completely remote staff. Outside of work, she loves taking her son on surprise road trips, playing with their pup Kota, trying out new restaurants, and enjoying the art and music scene. Kristi is a sports afficionado and supports her favorite teams which include our Seattle Mariners and Seahawks; however, since moving to Indiana, she now also roots for the Indianapolis Colts.
