When Krissy joined Hellam Varon in 2018, she brought over 10 years of experience in both private industry and public accounting. Krissy was introduced to accounting and bookkeeping from an early age, helping her mother with the books at her family’s bodywork shop. She soon entered private sector accounting in the retail and manufacturing industries, before embarking on the challenges of acquiring an accounting degree in college. Today at Hellam Varon, she provides tax preparation and business support services to individuals and closely held companies.  

As someone with a full accounting background, in addition to preparing tax returns Krissy can assist clients with standard booking questions and setting up financial statements and reporting. She loves digging into difficult returns and helping her clients find solutions to their various challenges. After working in public accounting, Krissy remarks she can’t go back to private industry. She enjoys the variety of projects and industries public accounting offers and, most importantly, the different story each client has.  

Outside of work, Krissy likes to bury herself in a good novel to escape the stresses of everyday life, but she is far from being reclusive! She trains as a half marathon runner and can be found on a myriad of hiking trails in the Pacific Northwest. And she can sometimes be seen swinging a golf club. But her latest passion is her dog, Stella. Family comes in all shapes and sizes!
