Jessie joined Hellam Varon in 2021 and describes her fascination with accounting in terms of stories. “Every number tells a story”, she comments. She is drawn to the process of discovering all the stories behind the numbers. Jessie was good with figures early on in her life, so accounting was a natural choice for her when selecting her career. Jessie received her undergraduate degree from the University of Macau in China and her Master in Taxation from American University. After working for a firm in Maryland, Jessie and her husband relocated to the Seattle area where she found her way to Hellam Varon. She specializes in tax preparation and planning for closely held businesses, individuals, and trust and estate work.

When Jessie describes why she selected Hellam Varon, she emphasizes the supportive, family-friendly work environment. She appreciates that people here are willing to help and share their knowledge. More than just managing the numbers, building relationships with clients is important, and Jessie appreciates how the firm cares about each client’s success.

When she takes a break from work, Jessie can often be found in her garden tending her flowers and vegetables. She also enjoys hiking, bicycling, jogging, swimming, and kayaking with her family.
