Harold Speer

Harold joined Hellam Varon in 2004 after working with other Puget Sound area accounting firms. Today, he serves as a co-managing shareholder of the firm and spends his time advising closely held businesses and high-net-worth families. Harold assists clients with income tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and operational and profitability analysis. While he works with clients in a variety of industries, Harold specializes in real estate, manufacturing and distribution, and professional service businesses.

Harold values the stories that clients share and understanding their big picture aspirations. He is passionate about identifying client’s goals and needs and helping to construct a plan for meeting those goals, resulting in impactful solutions for generations. Additionally, as a shareholder and business owner himself, Harold believes in fostering a supportive, sustainable, quality work environment for the team at Hellam Varon.

Outside of the office, Harold spends as much time as he can with outdoor activities (in ALL weather conditions). Raised on the drier side of Washington state, Harold loves exploring Northwest beaches with his family, particularly when he can go fishing with his boys and perhaps play a round of golf or two!

We have exceptional people here who work incredibly well as a team.”
