Greg Monk

Greg joined Hellam Varon in 2016 bringing with him 14 years of public accounting experience. As part of Hellam Varon’s audit and accounting department, Greg provides assurance and advisory services for business clients including financial statement audits, reviews and compilations, financial statement analysis, and other agreed-upon compliance engagements. He specializes in a comprehensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Greg serves a variety of business clients including retail, manufacturing, construction contractors, 401(k) plans, and not-for profits.

Over the years, Greg has developed a passion for building relationships with clients and enjoys a hands-on, collaborative rapport with his clients. He appreciates working with business owners who want to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their companies and helping ensure compliance with all third party regulations. Approaching his work as more than just an auditor, Greg searches for ways to add business advisory value to his client engagements.

Greg grew up in a family that travelled, and he has carried that wanderlust through life. In 2013, he took a year off from work to travel the world, visiting more countries than most people do in a lifetime! He also enjoys attending sporting events (especially baseball), hiking, frequenting the ferry system to the area islands, and appreciating good food and beer. We’re glad he chose to put down some roots here at Hellam Varon!
