Fiona joined Hellam Varon in 2017 bringing 12 years of experience in the accounting profession, which included financial statements and federal and multi-state corporate tax returns. At Hellam Varon, Fiona now exclusively focuses on comprehensive tax planning and compliance specializing in closely held businesses, individuals, and trust and estate work. She is also one of our accountants who specializes in international tax issues. With a curious mind and effervescent personality, she enjoys the challenge and variety of work at Hellam Varon.

Fiona has a passion for collaborating on her clients’ behalf. As an advisor, she aims to understand her client’s objectives and works with them and their outside legal and financial advisors to provide the best solutions to achieve their financial goals. She believes the most successful options for the client are based on a team approach.

When she is not tackling complex business taxes for a client, Fiona spends her free time hiking, cross country skiing or experimenting with a new recipe in the kitchen. She admits to being a creative person, a trait that also helps her find answers to clients’ problems. Like many of our folks, Fiona and her husband enjoy travelling and have explored Germany, Hawaii, Alaska, and Montana.
