Dana Stoneman

When Dana Stoneman first joined the Hellam Varon team in 1994, she was the youngest accounting manager for the franchise where she had been working. That franchise also happened to be a client of Hellam Varon. When asked why she moved to Hellam Varon to continue pursuing her career, Dana responds with a big smile, “Because they asked me!” And, of course, the rest is history.

Dana has always been fascinated by numbers. Math came easily for her in school, and she is drawn to the puzzle-solving nature of working with numbers. This translated well to accounting and assisting clients with their bookkeeping and accounting questions related to their small businesses. A part of our Business Support Services team, Dana is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor which enables her to help clients move from “shoebox accounting” to better long-term solutions. Greeting clients with a giant smile and great laugh, she always puts clients at ease.

Outside of work, Dana loves being outdoors and exploring the Pacific Northwest. She is a big supporter of all the local sports teams and enjoys going to local sporting events. Now an empty nester, she and her husband look forward to what life will bring next. If you ask Dana why she has made her career home at Hellam Varon, she says without missing a beat, “It’s the family feeling you get here. The firm is always supportive and flexible. I really enjoy what I do. I guess I’m just saying I’m happy.” And that makes us happy too!
