Chantel joined Hellam Varon’s audit and accounting group in 2023 bringing several years of experience in the private sector. She has always liked working with numbers and calls herself a bit of a math nerd. Putting herself through college, Chantel worked on the accounting side of her family’s business and helped improve their payroll services, giving her a taste of what it takes to run a company. After college, she worked in accounting for a long-term care pharmacy and led their accounts receivable and accounts payable departments where she oversaw all services.

Bringing a perspective unique to working in private industry, Chantel has been excited to apply her experience to public accounting and working with a variety of clients and companies. She is a part of both our audit and accounting team and our Business Support Services group. She is currently studying to obtain her CPA license.

A self-proclaimed “Disney adult,” she and her wife love going to the parks and have visited Disney World and Disneyland over 10 times! In her down time at home, Chantel likes spending time with their dog, Wesley, and family. She especially loves family game night. Her favorite board game right now is Splendor. We’re excited to see where the magic takes her at Hellam Varon!
