Annabel joined the Hellam Varon team in May 2023, bringing five years in communications, marketing, and web design experience for non-profits. While she loves the academic side of communications and to create, she was looking forward to a career change in an area less public facing. Now at Hellam Varon, Annabel works behind the scenes providing tax preparation and compliance services for individuals. With an extensive technical background under her belt, taxes come naturally to her, and she is in the process of studying for her master in taxation. 

In addition to preparing returns, she applies her creative and technical background to assist with the website, create training and onboarding materials, as well as assist with procedure documentation for the firm. 

Outside of work Annabel enjoys a night in, but not exactly “quiet.” Another Hellam Varon metalhead, you can always find her with headphones in jamming out to heavy metal—her favorites being the subgenres of power and gothic metal, as well as melodeath. She also loves exploring the beautiful forests where she lives, reading, and drawing and painting. With a minor in film, she has an extensive film collection, and even makes short films herself! She’s also an avid research writer and working on getting her next communications research paper published with her old professors.
