Allegedly, Steve is ‘mostly’ retired, although he keeps an office at the company and can be found there most spring, summer and fall mornings. But in the afternoons, one is far more likely to bump into him on a tennis court, at a Mariners game, or working with a number of local non-profit organizations. Winters are now spent with his wife and Gracie, their border collie mix, in Palm Desert, California, where his time is split between tennis, pickle ball and riding his bike EVERYWHERE!
An adventurer by nature, one might also catch up with Steve on the top of Tiger Mountain strapping into a paragliding chute, river rafting through the Grand Canyon, or trying other adventures on his ‘bucket list’. But at the end of the day it all comes back to family and friends, which includes his coworkers, “It’s a great place to be,” he says of Hellam Varon. “From the very beginning, we have successfully taken our work seriously, but not ourselves. I think our firm truly embodies the idea of enjoying what we do.”
It’s clear Steve’s ‘mostly' retired status has kept him a very busy man!
