When Nicole Dresser came to Hellam Varon in 2012, she was drawn to the various aspects of multi-generational tax planning for families and their businesses. After almost 15 years experience in both public accounting and the private sector, Nicole understands the life cycle element of family-owned businesses and likes the challenges in assisting clients at the intersection of their business and personal needs. In addition, Nicole takes a leading role in the firm's international tax practice, helping clients with the growing complexities around foreign tax compliance and reporting.
Family is an important theme for Nicole, not only as part of her personal life, but in work as well. "Family is an integral part of the Hellam Varon culture," she comments. "I really like the firm's focus on serving families and family businesses and all the nuances that go with it." From the start of a business to the transition of that business and from starting a family to providing a legacy, Nicole is building her practice on the similarity in the cycles of family systems and business systems and the tax implications for both. Why Hellam Varon? She appreciates the caring culture of the firm and the balance it strikes between the technical strength of its people and their sense of fun.
When she is not working, Nicole can be found spending time with her family, which includes her husband Darren and two young sons. She enjoys running, pinning on Pinterest, and rare time with friends when she isn't otherwise chasing around her busy boys!
